1. Problems compiling thermo_pw 1.7.1 (Elio Physics)
There is a missing step in your commands, try to follow the following steps
Ensure you have Quantum Espresso 7.1 installed
Assuming the folder where qe-7.1 is residing is called DFT
Issue the following commands at the terminal when outside DFT
wget http://people.sissa.it/~dalcorso/thermo_pw/thermo_pw.1.7.1.tar.gz
<https://mailtrack.io/trace/link/73fb4a7cbb07c77f76aa2d500b13d51d085bdb90?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpeople.sissa.it%2F~dalcorso%2Fthermo_pw%2Fthermo_pw.1.7.1.tar.gz&userId=2771463&signature=75586a617e6faec0>
mv thermo_pw.1.7.1.tar.gz ./DFT
cd DFT
mv thermo_pw.1.7.1.tar.gz ./qe-7.1/
cd qe-7.1/
tar -xzvf thermo_pw.1.7.1.tar.gz
cd thermo_pw
make join_qe
cd ..
./configure
make thermo_pw
mv thermo_pw.1.7.1.tar.gz ../../
cd ../../
rm thermo_pw.1.7.1.tar.gz
