[Thermo_pw-forum] Problems compiling thermo_pw 1.7.1

Dear all,

I am trying to compile thermo_pw 1.7.1 with QE 7.1 version. As is instructed by the developers,

I issue a make join_qe in the THERMO_PW folder, followed by make thermo_pw in the QE folder. However I am getting an error:

make[2]: *** No rule to make target `make.depend'.  Stop.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/eamouj78/Softwares/qe-7.1/thermo_pw/lib'
make[1]: *** [thermo_lib] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/eamouj78/Softwares/qe-7.1/thermo_pw'
make: *** [thermo_pw] Error 1

I am sure the compilation is straightforward , but I am not sure what is going on here.

ANy help would be appreciated
