[QE-users] 4th component of average spin value array

[lot fun]

Hi all,

In the post-processing code, the "compute_sigma_avg" subroutine in the
"compute_sigma_avg.f90" file calculates the average spin component values
and stores them in sigma_avg(1:3, :).
However, can anyone explain what the 4th component, sigma_avg(4, :), is?
>From looking at the code, it seems that this involves the L_z operator.
Does anyone have an explanation and possibly a reference?
