Hi,
ifort requires more than one variable to work correctly, there is a script
which set up all the required variables correctly in /opt/intel/fc/*/bin/,
if I remember correctly it is named ifortvars.sh.

You can copy the script in /etc/profile.d/ in order to make it global and
permanent (requires a relogin to take effect), or just execute it when you
need to use ifort typing
source /opt/intel/fc/*/bin/*vars.sh
