[QE-developers] About Quantum Espresso Program

To whom it may concern,

I'm working at Smart Energy as an R&D specialist. As Smart Energy, we are a solar module producer and also we have EPC services in Turkey.

I would have question about the Quantum Espresso program commercial license.

We want to use the Quantum Espresso program to make DTF calculations in a TUBITAK (The scientific and technological research council of Turkey) Project that is accepted. We aim to obtain a commercial product as a result of our project.

During the project, we want to use the Quantum Expresso program through İstanbul Technical University - National High-Performance Computing Center.

This National High-Performance Computing Center has its own Quantum Espresso program and we know that program is free.

I am writing to ask Is the Quantum Expresso program free for academic studies only or Is it free for commercial project as well.

As a company, will our use of the program in the account center cause any license violations?

We would be very grateful if you could send us this information.
