[Q-e-developers] Transforming "PHonon/examples" as reference numerical test cases

Dear all,

I am working on the background to port PW and CPV tests on test-code and the job is almost done, few tuning and adjustments. While PW and CPV are well covered, other packages have no test suites of any kind in the distribution. I started to look at PHonon, the directory "PHonon/examples" contains some example that can be converted in reference test cases.

I have few questions....
1. can these tests run in serial? If yes, how much memory might need?
2. do these tests cover enough functionalities of ph.x?
3. who is a person who can point me to those physical quantities relevant for a 1:1 comparison between a computer output and a reference one?

Thanks!

F
