[Wannier] Error associated with the command "pw2wannier90.x"

Dear Wannier90 users,

I am able to generate a case.nnkp file successfully after running the
command wannier90.x -pp. But I am getting the following error while running
*pw2wannier90.x* command which is the PWscf to Wannier90 intermediate step.



* task #         0     from pw_readfile : error #         1     error
opening xml data file*

can someone tell me why this error is happening?
