Hi community,

I have a question to ask. Following is the result of a material system's thermal conductivity at different temperatures when no Casimir scattering is applied.

T    Kx        Ky        Kz
50   216.96    216.96    141.95
100    66.24     66.24     35.84
200   27.66      27.66     14.10
300   17.84     17.84        8.90
400   13.24      13.84        6.58
500   10.55      10.55       5.22
600    8.77       8.77      4.33
700    7.50       7.50      3.70
800    6.56       6.56      3.23
900    5.83       5.83        2.87
1000   5.24       5.24         2.58

But when I apply Casimir scattering in only in the z-direction and the sample length is kept the same (1.5 microns), I get the following values.

T      Kx        Ky        Kz
50   13.78       13.78       6.79
100  20.43      20.43     8.83
200  15.73      15.73       6.76
300  12.03      12.03      5.24
400     9.70       9.70       4.28
500    8.13       8.13     3.63
600    6.99       6.99     3.15
700    6.14 6.14       2.78
800    5.48               5.48 2.50
900    4.94         4.94       2.27
1000   4.51        4.51      2.10

The values of thermal conductivity for 50, 100 and 200 K data seem to drastically low and I am not sure why.

I am attaching the thermal conductivity input file for the one used in Casimir scattering. Please ignore the sample length in the attached file as it contains a value for which I am running a calculation on.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
