Originally, I had the more conventional format

K_POINTS crystal_b ! k-points are in crystal coordinates
2 ! Number of High Symmetry points of interest
0.00 0.00 0 5 ! Γ
0.50 0.50 0 5 ! Z ~ c-axis

but switched to
match qe-7.4.1\PP\examples\projected_bands_example\run_example which uses
K_POINTS
97

In either case, it fails all the same and shouldn't affect the problematic
step of projwfc.x, seeing as K_POINTS (without additional
instructions) defaults to "tpiba (cartesian coordinates, in units of 2
pi/a)" and "In a non-scf calculation, weights do not affect the results. If
you just need eigenvalues and eigenvectors (for instance, for a
band-structure plot), weights can be set to any value (for instance all
equal to 1)," from pw.x
