Dear Stefano,

We have very recently published a set of benchmark structures for PWSCF that span many different atoms and structure types. You can find it here: http://theossrv1.epfl.ch/Main/QuantumESPRESSO

You may also be interested in checking out the SIRIUS project. It is an effort to build a GPU-enabled library of core operations that any electronic-structure code has to perform, with the aim of making it available to all interested projects, although currently it's mostly focused on QE compatibility. If you want to test a SIRIUS-enabled version of PWSCF, you can check out the following github repositories:

The latter is a modified fork of the Quantum ESPRESSO repo (be careful to pull the correct branch).

Any feedback is welcome both on the benchmarks sets and on SIRIUS.
