[Pw_forum] About electron-phonon matrix elements in elph.#iq.#irr.xml

Dear sir:

I am a user of QE, and my
current research interest is electron-phonon interaction in materials. Learning
from the file "developer_man.pdf" attached to the PHonon package I
found that PHonon can generate an output file named as
"elph.#iq.#irr.xml" which contains the contribution to the electron phonon
coefficients at the q vector #iq of the irreducible representation #irr.

My question is whether each
element of the array el_ph_mat_rec_col in this file is just the electron-phonon
matrix element g_{q\nu}(k,i,j), where \nu is a phonon eigen-mode. SO I can
simply take a square modulus of these elements to obtain |g_{q\nu}(k,i,j)|^2 in
the relevant formulations. If it is not such a case, the output of
elph.#iq.#irr.xml is not just the electron-phonon matrix element for a given
phonon eigen-mode, then how to obtain |g_{q\nu}(k,i,j)|^2 elph.#iq.#irr.xml or
any other files.

It is really appreciated if
you kindly respond to above questions.

Best regards.

Sincerely yours

zys
