This is tested on over 2 nodes, local disk only (no parallel file
system). Using 1 node works, but running on two doesn't. 

Assuming:
    
    &inputph
        prefix='prefix',
        outdir='/outdir/',
        ...

After the pw.x run, ph.x starts and

     from diropn : error #        21
     error opening prefix.bar

In the 'outdir', I only see the usual
    /outdir/prefix.save/
    /outdir/prefix.wfc1
    ...
and     
    /outdir/_ph0/prefix.bar1
    ...
    /outdir/_ph0/prefix.dwf1
    ...
    /outdir/_ph0/prefix.ebar1
    ...
    /outdir/_ph0/prefix.phsave/
    /outdir/_ph0/prefix.save/


This is with QE 4.3.2. Thanks.
