Hi Martin,
Just a quick note,
when calculating isolated molecules, set nosym = .true. not to use any
symmetry, set some form of assume_isolated for polar molecules to
account for periodic image corrections. i dont know if these would
affect your results but this is the correct way of accounting for an
isolated system in a periodic code.
Also, definitely important:
compare things in the same level of accuracy: ecutwfc, ecutrho etc.
should correspond to the same level of expansion in plane waves both
in water molecule and amorphous ice/water complex..keep them the same.
