[Pw_forum] What is the meaning of dipfield=.true. ?

Dear All,
Sorry to send this e-mail to everyone.

I want to use saw-tooth electric potential to investigate behaviour of thin film slab under electric field. My system indeed behaves differently under different electric field amplitude. But my question is, what is the meaning if I set dipfield=.true. ? If I use dipfield=.false., all results are wrong, is not it?

Any advice from you is helpful to me.
