i have them in my cvs checkout. you may have to explicitely
check them out. if you check out the O-sesame module (the
original code name of the QE package) it should be contained.

i guess paolo will be more qualified to answer this. the 
purpose is obvious from the name of the folder. in general
you can get very useful information of what is going on in
the cvs by running "perl cvs2cl.pl" in the main directory
and reading through the resulting ChangeLog file. very interesting
read at times and highly recommended for everybody using
the cvs code.
