Dear All ;

I 've made my first cluster using mpich2 and PWSCF ..... I put the espresso
folder and psedue and tmp folders on /home directory which is shared by NFS
via the machines ...... now when I tryed a file it gave the following error
:

     from outdir:  : error #         1
     /home/espresso-3.2/tmp/ non existent or non writable
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
   Program PWSCF     v.3.2    starts ...
     Today is 26May2007 at 15:10:47

     Parallel version (MPI)

     Number of processors in use: 2
     R & G space division:  proc/pool =    2

     Ultrasoft (Vanderbilt) Pseudopotentials

     Current dimensions of program pwscf are:

     ntypx = 10   npk = 40000  lmax =  3
     nchix =  6  ndmx =  2000  nbrx = 14  nqfx =  8

 %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
     from outdir:  : error #         1
     /home/espresso-3.2/tmp/ non existent or non writable
 %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

     stopping ...
rank 1 in job 9 server2_1074 caused collective abort of all ranks
  exit status of rank 1: return code 47
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now does this means that the other machine (i.e : not the server that am
running the job from) is not able to write in the tmp folder ... or is it
something else .......... and if so what could be a reasonable solution
.................... any ideas would be very appreciaple ... and thanks
all

Regards ;
Hashem
