I think it depends on how the electron affinity is supposed to be  
measured/used.
The electron affinity (i.e. the absolute position of the bottom of  
the conduction band) is an ill defined concept in an infinite system.  
Its actual value depends on surface/interface effects, whose modeling  
may depends on the details of the experimental setup.
