Dear all,

sometimes in order to bring new functionalities to the basic low-level modules and open the opportunity to major improvements in the overall parallelization of the code it is inevitable to apply changes that may impact a huge amount of files.

Today there has been a commit aim to reshuffling the FFT-related modules and also the addition of a new module called "scatter_mod" (see Doc/release-notes). While all the packages in the trunk has been covered and checked to conform with these changes, there is no automated way to ensure some of your private developments will continue to work without change several part of the code.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check your own private copy or private development version of QE, work toward align your code with the current trunk as soon as you can to minimize future difficulties in contributing back into the legacy repository. Most likely everything will be easy to adapt.

If you have troubles please drop a line here in the q-e-developers mailing-list. We will work to add some basic documentation about what, how and why these changes has been applied and what impact will have in the overall design of the parallel code. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Cheers
