The mean value point method of Baldereschi for Brillouin zone integrations (A. Baldereschi, Mean value point in the Brillouin zone, Phys. Rev. B 7 (12) (1973) 5212–5215.) turns out to be surprisingly accurate for some quantities like the total energy density for instance. Does someone knows if this mean value point has been determined for 3D and 2D lattices apart from the points given by Baldereschi himself?
