[Pw_forum] Intel compile pw.1.1.2 problem

I'm having a compile problem, an Intel machine under Linux, with
pw.1.2.0.  The error is similar to that of posting by Mahmoud Payami on 
pw_forum

for march 2002 (unfortunately I have not seen a reply in this thread).
