Hi Layla, all,

I had been gathering a list of visualization tools/builders and reviewing how well they work with QE. Although I cannot claim that it is a complete list, I would still like to share it with you all during a 15 mins talk (tops!) [if you have a viz tool you want
to promote pls do let me know i ll try it out too!]

Visualization of output/input&molecule building might be argued to be outside the scope of the developers meeting, but i think it is an essential part of a smoother user experience. And it seems to me, a smooth experience for users from all sorts of background
is a key to expand the user base of QE.

And about that last 'QE in the future' talk, well I should be out of my mind to claim to give a talk with that title with so little I know :) But what I can talk about, without going into buzz words, would be some practical strategies that I feel could help
to build a community that would be willing to contribute, and some baby steps we can take to perform more effectively with what we have got already. I would rather have this talk (15 mins tops!) before the "activities, organization of QEF" talk, so that we
could get to discuss what i have to suggest as well, if some of you think it makes sense.

I have already been poking a lot of you on these topics of the "future of QE" so if anyone is willing to give this talk instead (Filippo, Layla, Stefano dG, I am looking at you :) i would be more than happy to share what i have.

cheers
ps:
to the separately added email addresses that are probably not in the q-e-developers mailing list: I am so sorry in advance that i would never be able remember all your names to add in the following correspondences.. i think that is an ability unique to Layla
only :) so why dont you pretty please sign up to the developers list (even if you dont feel like one) and make us all a favor?
Dear all

it is time to start organizing the next developers meeting. We think that a good period could be just before, during or just after the Total Energy, to be held in Trieste 10th-12th January 2013 (note that the Total Energy is followed by a workshop that involves
some of us, from the 14th to the 18th). Could you please send us an email with your preferred dates?

Thank you very much
PS In attachment please find a short summary of the past developers meeting.
